Happy Hump Day

Hump day is finally here. They say the rest of the week is supposed to be all down hill. But by the looks of it, the rest of this week is going to be a steep climb to the top. Our professor is assigning more and more work everyday. Unfortunately, I've heard that she has a reputation of assigning excessive amounts of work every year. We are drowning so deep in our work, that we don't even have time to enjoy the activities the RA has put together for us.

I woke up this morning so exhausted. I had to force myself out of bed and into my clothes. I even poured myself a cup of coffee during breakfast, to get me through the morning. It was all watered down, didnt taste good, and didn't help at all. The morning section of our class was spent reviewing last night's homework and chapter. I like this because we have a chance to ask questions and review what we didn't understand form the previous material and homework. With the small class size, we are able to have highly interactive discussions with immediate feedback and conversation. I am now able to fully understand the four psychological stages infants develop in. 

After lunch we met back in the classroom at 1 PM to finish last night's article review. Next, the class had the privilege of touring the university library's psychology department. The entire library was humungous, with over 70 million books, all covered by a glass dome. The psychology librarian was able to show us how to research different psychological articles relating to our topics. This was extremely helpful because Ms. Freeman assigned a literature assignment without teaching us how to access different sources of literature.

I'm beginning to run out of things to write, for my life here at University of Chicago is spent living and breathing Developmental Psychology, for the rest of my stay here. My only breaks are used to eat or go to the bathroom. Then I'm back to studying about whether or not babies have an understanding of spatial object permanence.
